Contemporary concrete lamp by Foscarini is stylish and elegant
It is undeniable that concrete is popular, but when did it become so cozy and even exquisite? In today’s market you will find all kinds of decorative accents and accessories made of fine concrete. And this contemporary concrete lamp by Foscarini is another example.
The studio Lucidi & Pevere has reinterpreted its old design of the Aplomb lamp for Foscarini and made its large but elegant version in three color versions. Equipped with LED lights, the light is available in dark and light as well as white.
Ultra-thin and elegant, its unbelievably modern silhouette from the kitchen to the dining room would look great. With such a long cord, it can also be equipped with double ceiling heights emphasizing vertical architectural lines.
The shape of the trailer looks pretty futuristic, but there is no craze. And it will definitely fit into a minimalist interior. In fact, there is not much left of the Aplomb’s original funnel shape, but that’s what makes this design so elegant. Thinning concrete is quite a challenge, but it looks all the more impressive.
Although concrete gray is a certain charm, the white version looks particularly stylish, while the light gray pendant stands out well against the black hardware. Hang them individually or in groups, these pendants will look the same in the appropriate setting. They would probably want them to hang a little low because LED lights are not very bright.
It is interesting to see where the designers can push such a familiar and useful material as concrete. We have seen it in lighting, decorations, vases and even furniture. What do you think should happen next?
