Blanco from the small town of Oberderdingen has long been a leader in the high-quality design of washbasins for home and professionals with this new product, the sink Modex (here with the matching fitting Alta), again. The Modex is installed as an over-counter fitting with a more vertical profile than most wall-mounted washbasins, radiating both minimalism and design power. The design of the Modex is the product of a clever rethinking of the space around a traditional sink, which is often covered with water or food particles during the preparation of a meal. On the left side of the basin, an angled trough funnels excess water without mechanical interaction in the direction of the drain. Gravity alone does the job of cleaning wastewater, and the side compartment is not limited to this purpose alone. The sink is mounted over the angled platform with a customized and leveled cutting board, transforming this area into additional storage space with direct disposal of scrap as needed.
Inside the pool, the cap of the actual drain assembly is wide and made of stainless steel with an extremely small clearance to prevent the ingress of unwanted particles. In a kitchen with bright counters, the drain of a black Modex connects the sink structure with the surrounding fixtures. The sink is available in six colors, all with protection against chipping or wear, paying special attention to the reaction with food ingredients that can slowly damage other surfaces. All are coated with a layer of bacteria-resistant materials so that the sink and side mounting are clean for food preparation.
