Kitchen design for lofts: 3 urban ideas from Snaidero
Kitchens on lofts are usually completely exposed to the social environment, and so most owners of an urban loft want a kitchen design full of modern ideas that are not only functional but also beautiful. Snaidero has designed several urban kitchen designs for lofts filled with contemporary ideas that happen to be called loft. We’ve focused on 3 of the most interesting versions, two of which feature a melamine finish in light wood look called Canyon Oak and the third with a dark gray melamine finish called Fossil Oak. In addition to the aesthetics of the wood look, all three kitchens feature metal frames and graphic panels that can be used in individual mix-and-match compositions.
The industrial look
Lofts often have an industrial edge, which is why Snaidero has created an urban kitchen with an industrial aesthetic that includes the Cabinette Canyon Oak, Peltro and Artico White laminates for counter tops, and a bronze-colored wired glass with matching Peltro frame for the wall unit.
The industrial kitchen is equipped with its new Nolita handle in a Peltro finish.
All Snaidero Loft kitchens are equipped with graphic panels that can be used in conjunction with wooden doors and drawers. The graphic pattern in this industrial style is called Azulejos texture and is a monotone composition of mixed artful tiles.
Wall units can be made of wood or wire and bronze finished glass as closed doors or as open aluminum shelves. The upper cabinets are equipped with integrated LED lights.
By using two different laminates on the work surfaces and slightly changing the height where they come together, the industrial feel of this loft kitchen is more authentic.
The open aluminum shelf with its Peltro finish and square tube design is just a bit like a scaffold.
Consistent with the aesthetics of industrial design, the St.Louis oven hood is simple and has the same Peltro finish as the handles.
The modern look
In the modern loft kitchen, it’s all about combining concrete-look counters with Canyon Oak furniture, but to give that kitchen a touch of dazzle, the oven hood has been replaced with its Oslo hood.
The new Snaidero container conceals a 3-foot deep laundry room that is seamlessly integrated into the pantry.
For the closed wall cabinets, the wire and bronze showcases are equipped with LED lights to enhance the sense of airiness and space in the loft kitchen.
Although some of the upper cabinets are exposed shelves, the backs of the shelves repeat the wooden plank.
The doors have been designed to be fully integrated into the kitchen.
Word style door panels called coffee were designed to flow with the appearance of concrete, whether the concrete is used for a countertop, floor, wall or ceiling.
What’s really cool about the storage under the stove is the fact that each of the three units are pull-out shelves that make accessibility to the complete shelf really easy.
Do not you love this Oslo oven hood?
The center island is a standard dining table height, so its seating can be used anywhere in the loft, making this design multifunctional.
Since the washroom is integrated into the storage wall and is 3 feet deep (washer and dryer on both sides of the frosted glass door), there is room for a pull-out cupboard at the back of the side. Well, that’s efficient with space!
The urban look
This urban loft kitchen design (top) uses the same elements as the one with the modern look, but it features the weathered looking “Fossil Oak” melamine and also punches it with a pop of color, which in this case is a fat and very nice yellow painted wood.
The graphics panels on the pull-out drawers have replaced the word art with a Hound’s tooth texture and that’s just fun!
Since the yellow shelf is the feature of this kitchen design, it has no plank back, but lets the wall finish shine through.
This urban loft kitchen mixes push / pull hardware on some closet doors.
Did you notice how nice the brass pendants with the yellow shelves are?
I do not know what I like more, the weathered Fossil Oak Cabinet, Oslo Oven Hood, Hound Toothpicks or the Yellow Mill, all together make for a beautiful kitchen design perfect for urban lofts.
There is nothing like a modern European kitchen design .
